Hamlib is built into every download, so Nexus controls most CAT radios from Icom, Yaesu,
Kenwood, Elecraft, Xiegu and others with nothing else to install. Some radios get more: the
radio's own scope on screen over CI-V (early access), the Icom network connection (Beta) and
Nexus's own FlexRadio client (Beta).
Radios by maker
These are the radios in the catalog of Nexus 1.20.0, the list Settings ▸ Radio picks from. The
number beside each model is its Hamlib model number, and the badges are explained under How each radio connects.
Nothing on this page matches. Your radio may still work: see Not on the list?

Software and remote rigs
Here a program serves the radio's CAT, and Nexus connects to the program over the network or a
virtual COM port. FLRig and NET rigctl hand Nexus a radio that another program already
controls, and an SDR such as a Hermes Lite 2 or an ANAN is listed under the program you run it
with.

How each radio connects
Each radio carries a badge for every way Nexus connects to it.
Hamlib
Nexus controls the radio through Hamlib, which is built in, over the radio's USB or serial cable, or over the network from the program that serves its CAT.
CI-V scope (early access)
Nexus's own CI-V connection over USB, in place of Hamlib, with the radio's spectrum scope on screen. In Settings ▸ Radio it is the Native Icom CI-V switch, marked early access.
Icom network (Beta)
Over the radio's own LAN or Wi-Fi connection, with no program in between. Receive and control only.
Flex client (Beta)
Nexus's own FlexRadio client connects to the radio as a SmartSDR client and runs CAT and PTT on a slice of its own. Without it, a Flex connects through the SmartSDR CAT app and DAX on your PC.
Not on the list?
Any radio Hamlib supports works with Nexus, listed here or not. In Settings ▸ Radio, Rig
Model shows the common radios first: tick Show all models for the rest, or
type your radio's Hamlib model number.
